Our Next Event - The Dog Days of Summer Beach Party:
If you didn't get enough bar-b-cue and fun for the 4th of July, this is the answer! We will have games for dogs and humans alike and we'll grill up some hamburgers and hot dogs. Remember the Jacksonville Beach rules say that poop cannot be buried or swept away with the tide, so please bring lots of baggies and for safety's sake, if you want to swim with your dog, bring a buddy leash or other leash that can attach to your waist or other part of your body and a floatation device for your dog.The Jacksonville Dog Scouts is a local troop of the Dog Scouts of America here in Jacksonville, Florida. Like the national organization, we are committed to fostering and promoting the human / canine bond through education, community service, the recognition of merit for both humans and dogs and events to build public awareness of responsible dog ownership.
Membership in our troop will provide you and your canine family members with many fun and enriching activities and the opportunity to grow in knowledge and skills right along with your beloved companion. We are just getting started, so our events will almost certainly evolve to meet the interests and ambitions of our members. Click here to see our calendar of upcoming events!
We are also a place to share with other dog lovers in the area. Our discussion board provides a place to share training tips or questions, news about local dog events, dog friendly places to go, or anything else dog-related.
Most of all, we are here to help you have fun and share quality, educational time with your best friend!
If you would like to be included in updates regarding our troop and our future activities, please feel free to fill out our contact form. Your personal information will be kept strictly confidential and you will never receive any junk mail as a result.
This website is intended to provide information regarding our local troop only. For an extensive resource for training techniques, the Dog Scouts of America, DSA camps, and other information from the national organization, please feel free to check out the main Dog Scouts of America site.
I am doing this whole website thing myself, and I will be the first to admit that I am just an amateur at this, so please let me know if you run into any errors on the site by e-mailing me at info@jaxdogscouts.com. If you have any suggestions for things you might like to see on the site, let me know, too, and I will do my best to accomodate reasonable requests! Thank you for your patience and feedback!
