Dog Scouts of America is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, founded for educational and charitable purposes. We promote responsible pet ownership and the importance of the human/companion animal bond. Our mission is to make the world a better place to live, by teaching humane education, and having society, as a whole, place more value on the dog as a member of the family. We teach people how to cope with the "normal" dog behaviors that can cause problems with a dog living in a human "pack." We help people to identify and deal with dog behavior that could become problematic, like aggression, indifference and self-rewarding behaviors. Our web pages, newsletter, and Dog Scout Manual are educational materials that can be accessed by anyone who wishes to learn more about responsible dog ownership and activities that will improve the canine/human bond.Won't you please help us in our cause? When you join DSA for the first time or renew your membership, you can be part of the team by checking the box for contributing member or sustaining member. In doing so, you will help us in our mission, and your contribution is tax deductible.
